The Southern Railway will operate special train services between Thiruvananthapuram and Velankanni. Train No. 06031 Thiruvananthapuram North-Velankanni Express Special will leave Thiruvananthapuram North at 11 a.m. on Wednesdays (May 13, 20, and 27) and reach Velankanni at 3 a.m. the next day. Train no. 06032 Velankanni–Thiruvananthapuram Central Express Special will leave Velankanni at 12.45 p.m. on Thursdays (May 14, 21, and 28) and reach Thiruvananthapuram Central at 5.45 a.m. the next day. The train will have two 2-tier ACs, two 3-tier ACs, three 3-tier AC economy, six sleeper, four second-class general, one second-class general (Divyangjan-friendly), and one luggage-cum-brake van coach.
