The Kochi city cyber police have registered a case over the alleged piracy of multi-star Malayalam film Patriot. The case was registered on Tuesday on a complaint filed by Anto Joseph, one of the producers of the movie.
According to the first information report, the film’s copy was allegedly recorded illegally and transmitted through different websites and social media accounts between May 2 and 5, causing financial losses to the complainant.
The case has been registered under various sections of the Copyright Act 1957 (Amendment 2012).
