Hyderabad authorities have unveiled a series of proactive measures aimed at improving commuter safety on the city’s busy Outer Ring Road (ORR), where officials say accidents remain a persistent concern despite high traffic volumes.
The plans were discussed at a high-level coordination meeting held on Tuesday at the Telangana Integrated Command and Control Centre, chaired by Hyderabad Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar. Senior officials from multiple departments, including National Highways Authority of India, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, Hyderabad Growth Corridor Limited, IRB Infrastructure Developers Limited and traffic police units across Cyberabad, Malkajgiri and Future City, attended the meeting.
