Farmers have renewed their opposition to installing solar power plant over the water spread area of Kovilangulam irrigation tank in Kariyapatti taluk.
A section of people from Kovilangulam, protested against the installation work claiming that the irrigation tank would be affected as it was being put up over the water spread area and sought cancellation of the permission given for the project.
