Virudhunagar district dropped two spots in overall pass percentage in the State in the Plus Two examination with a only 97.17% or 20,727 students out of the 21,330 students passing out.
Last year, the district had stood 7th in the State.
Among them the 9,297 boys and 11,430 girls have come out successfully.
A statement said that 20 Government schools, 23 aided schools and 37 private schools have secured centum results.
A total of 10 students have secured centums in Chemistry, 14 students in Mathematics, 170 students in Computer Science, seven students in Biology and two students in Botany have got centum marks.
Similarly, 80 students have got full marks in Computer Applications, 52 students in Accountancy, 23 tudents in Commerce and 40 students in hisotry have got centums.
Among the 423 students who had got centums in the district seven have got it in Economics, 11 in Business Mathematics, seven in French.
