Roads and Buildings (R&B) Minister B.C. Janardhan Reddy said that increase in groundwater levels will enable the farmers to cultivate crops using water from their borewells. He stated that government is striving to make groundwater accessible at a depth of three metres.
The Minister participated in the commencement of desilting works in Hanumathu Gundam tank as part of ‘Jaladhara-Jalaharathi’ programme in Kolimigundla mandal of Banaganapalle Assembly constituency on Tuesday. On the occasion, Mr. Janardhan Reddy operated an earthmover to remove silt from the canal.
