A 21-year-old man was killed in an accident after an auto trolley hit him while he was waiting outside a warehouse at Musheerabad on Wednesday evening.

The victim was identified as Mohd. Lafeef Khan, a resident of Medak. According to the police, Lafeef had come to Musheerabad to purchase aluminium sheets from a store. The shopkeeper reportedly directed him to the warehouse, where he was waiting when the incident occurred.

Police said the auto trolley, driven by Shamshuddin, allegedly hit Lafeef and dragged him for some distance before he was crushed under the vehicle. Investigators said the driver allegedly did not know how to properly operate the vehicle and accidentally pressed the accelerator instead of the brake, leading to the accident.

Based on a complaint, Musheerabad police registered a case and launched an investigation. The body was shifted to Gandhi Hospital mortuary for postmortem examination. The auto driver was taken into custody for questioning.
