A grand entrance arch, improved approach road, dedicated pedestrian pathways and covered walkways have been provided at the station entrance. The circulating area has been redesigned with wider lanes to facilitate smooth movement of vehicles and passengers. Around 960 square metres of covered parking space has been created. Separate covered parking facilities for two-wheelers and four-wheelers have been developed.
The railway station building has been upgraded through facade development, construction of new canopy, improvements to ramps, waiting halls, drinking water facilities and toilet blocks. Platform surfaces have been enhanced. New signage boards and platform fencing have been installed for improved passenger safety and convenience.

One of the highlights of the project is the construction of a new six-metre-wide Foot Over Bridge connecting Platform 1 with Platforms 2 and 3. Two lifts have also been added to the existing foot overbridge to improve accessibility and ease passenger movement across platforms. Each lift can accommodate 13 persons and will particularly benefit senior citizens, differently abled passengers, pregnant women, children and passengers carrying luggage.
Installation of the Digital Passenger Information System and Train and Coach Indication Boards have also been completed. Special emphasis has been given to accessibility for differently abled passengers through provision of access ramps with handrails, accessible toilets, a dedicated booking counter and tactile pathways on platforms.
