Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) has forecast normal rainfall (plus or minus 10% deviation from long-term rainfall) in most of the districts and a near normal rainfall in Coimbatore, Erode, Tiruppur, Dindigul and Theni districts during the Southwest Monsoon (June-September).
TNAU developed the data based on the Southern Oscillation Index and Sea Surface Temperature values of Pacific and Indian Oceans by using Australian Rainman International V.4.3. Software at Agro Climate Research Centre of TNAU in Coimbatore and is presented at 60% probability.
