At least seven Kerala ministers are trailing with the counting of votes polled in the April 9 Assembly elections progressing in the State.
According to Election Commission’s figures as the report was being filed, Veena George (Minister for Health and Family Welfare) in Aranmula, M.B. Rajesh (Minister for Local Self-Governments, Excise & Parliamentary Affairs) in Thrithala, O.R. Kelu (Minister for Welfare of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Backward Classes) in Mananthavady, R. Bindhu (Minister for Higher Education and Social Justice) in Irinjalakuda, J. Chinchurani (Minister for Animal Husbandry) in Chadayamangalam, P. Rajeeve (Minister for Industries, Law, and Coir) in Kalamassery, K.B. Ganesh Kumar (Minister of Transport in Kerala) in Pathanapuram, Roshy Augustine (Minister for Water Resources) in Idukki were trailing in their respective constituencies in the first hour of counting.
