The Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam (IIMV) on Saturday launched the second batch of Executive Post-Graduate Diploma Program in Management (EPGDPM) for the Defence sector.
Developed under the guidance of the Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence, the specialised one-year program is designed to strengthen leadership and management acumen among Defence professionals.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by chief guest Capt. Ganti Venkateswarlu, Chairman and Managing Director (Additional Charge) of Hindustan Shipyard Limited.
In his keynote address, Capt. Venkateswarlu lauded the successful completion of the programme’s first batch and urged the new cohort to strive towards self-reliance in the Defence sector, highlighting that modern industry leadership requires multifaceted personalities capable of driving transformation.
The newly admitted batch brings rich professional diversity, comprising participants from six Defence Public Sector Undertakings (DPSUs), the National Academy of Defence Production (NADP), and private defence firms. The cohort reflects a highly experienced profile, maintaining an average age of 38 years and over 12 years of work experience.
