Former minister and Congress MLA Vinay Kulkarni has been disqualified from the membership of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly for a period of six years from April 15, 2026, following his conviction by a special court in Bengaluru.
The special court had convicted Mr. Kulkarni along with 16 others in connection with the 2016 murder of a young BJP leader, Yageshgowda Goundar, in Dharwad district.
