The 64th edition of the Kerala School Arts Festival – Kalolsavam 2026 – held in Thrissur, the cultural capital of Kerala, became a grand affair, with nearly 14,000 students showcasing their talent in as many as 249 events organised across multiple venues. The showpiece festival, which kicked off on Wednesday (January 14, 2026), concluded on January 18, with Kannur district emerging the winner and clinching the Gold Cup.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan lit the ceremonial lamp on January 14, while Education Minister V. Sivankutty and the Revenue Minister K. Rajan received the first batch of students at the Thrissur Railway Station on Tuesday (January 13), accompanied by Pulikkali performers and colourful parasols.
