Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) national president K.M. Kader Mohideen has appealed to the Centre to bear the cost of the additional amount of ₹10,000 being levied by the Haj Committee due to rising aviation fuel prices.

In a representation addressed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Mr. Mohideen said the Central Haj Committee has asked Haj pilgrims to make an additional payment of ₹10,000 by May 15 for their airfares. “I request the Prime Minister to allow the Government of India to pay this additional amount on behalf of the Haj pilgrims,” he said.
