The Ernakulam Central police on Friday arrested one more person in connection with the alleged attempt to sexually assault a young woman after holding her male friend at knife point. Sanjay, 30, a native of Ernakulam, was taken into custody from near the South railway overbridge, a day after two others were arrested in the case.
Two other accused, Rahul, 39, a native of Chathannoor in Kollam, and Danish, 28, a native of Edava in Thiruvananthapuram, were arrested on Thursday. According to the police, the trio together attempted to sexually assault the woman on Tuesday.
The alleged incident took place inside an abandoned and overgrown hotel complex opposite the Ernakulam South railway station.
