A two-day State conference of the Sabarimala Ayyappa Seva Samajam began in Chengannur on Saturday. P.N. Narayana Varma, the president of the organisation, inaugurated the State council meeting.
The conference formulated an action plan to launch Ayyappa devotee groups at the ward level and Ayyappa devotee villages at the panchayat level.
Spiritual speaker Saritha Iyer will inaugurate the delegates’ conference on Sunday. National president S.J.R. Kumar will deliver the keynote address. A total of 450 selected delegates from 78 taluks are attending the conference.
The voluntary organisation is active across various States in the country and also has branches in Gulf countries, Singapore, the United States, Europe, and Africa.
