An 18-month-old girl, B. Harsitha, died on the spot after her stepfather allegedly smashed her against a wall.
According to the police, the toddler’s mother had a dispute with her husband, and was staying with an acquaintance K. Vamshi along with her two children.
However, an argument reportedly broke out between the toddler’s mother and Vamshi. In a fit of rage, Vamshi smashed the child’s head against the wall, resulting in her death a few days ago.
“Following a complaint, a case has been registered and the accused has been arrested. He was produced in the court which remanded him to judicial custody on Wednesday,” said Satyanarayanapuram Circle Inspector S.V.V. Lakshmi Narayana.
