Accusing Gujarat of using influence and taking the IPL finals held on Sunday away from Bengaluru, Chief Minister-designate D.K. Shivakumar on Monday said that necessary preparations are under way to ensure it does not happen again.
Speaking to reporters here, he said, “The IPL final was supposed to be held in Bengaluru. The Karnataka government had given permission for it. However, Gujarat used influence and took the match away from us.”
“Our sports fans may have been wronged, but the team (RCB) representing our State played well and won. They have made all of us proud,” he said.
