“There is no internal democracy in the Congress. It is a family party dominated by the Nehru-Gandhis. Only those who can win the trust of the family members like Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi can become Chief Ministers. The same applies to Karnataka,” BJP MP Basavaraj Bommai said in Gadag on Sunday.
“Congressmen who talk a lot about democracy have killed internal democracy in their own party. It is a matter of shame,” Mr. Bommai, who is a former Chief Minister, told reporters.
