Union Minister for Coal and Mines and Secunderabad MP G. Kishan Reddy has urged Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to personally intervene and expedite the allotment of land required for expanding approach roads and related infrastructure at Cherlapally and Secunderabad Railway Stations.
In an open letter addressed to the Chief Minister, the BJP MP said the Cherlapally Railway Station was developed last year at a cost of ₹430 crore with the objective of decongesting Hyderabad’s three major railway terminals — Kachiguda, Secunderabad, and Hyderabad. Since its inauguration, several trains have begun operating from the station on a daily basis, resulting in a significant rise in passenger footfall.
