The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering (VVCE), Mysuru, in collaboration with Inunity, successfully organised FUSION X 1.0, a 24-hour national-level Hackathon, on the college premises here on Friday.

Held under the theme “From Problems to Possibilities,” the hackathon brought together aspiring innovators, students, academicians, and industry professionals from various institutions to develop creative and impactful solutions to real-world challenges through continuous collaboration, coding, and innovation.

The event was inaugurated by Shrinivasa B. A., senior delivery manager, LTTS Mysuru. Addressing the participants, he emphasised the growing importance of innovation, emerging technologies, and industry-academia collaboration in shaping the next generation of engineers. He encouraged students to think creatively and develop solutions that create meaningful societal impact.

Gundappa Gowda, President, Vidyavardhaka Sangha, Mysuru, P. Vishwanath, Secretary, and Shrishaila Ramannanavar, Honorary Treasurer, Vidyavardhaka Sangha, who were present, appreciated the efforts of the organisers in promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, and technical excellence among students.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. B. Sadashive Gowda, Principal, VVCE, and Dr. Shobha Shankar, Vice Principal and Dean, VVCE, highlighted the institution’s commitment to nurturing creativity, leadership, research, and industry-oriented technical skills among engineering students.

A highlight of the event was the launch of Club Zenith, a student-driven technical and innovation club established under the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The club aims to provide students with a platform to participate in technical workshops, innovation challenges, leadership activities, industry interaction, and collaborative projects to strengthen the innovation ecosystem within the institution.

Dr. Gopala Reddy K., Professor and Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and others were present.
