Two tribal women were killed and five others were injured after a huge tree uprooted due to heavy rain accompanied by gusty winds and fell on them at a busy weekly shandy in Pedabayalu of Alluri Sitharama Raju district on Monday. They were all believed to be vendors.
The deceased were identified as Koda Ichchamma, 40, and Korra Thitamma, 30, from Nandapur mandal in Odisha.
