M. Junaid Bushiri, Vice-Chancellor of Cochin University of Science and Technology (Cusat), has asked the Registrar and Controller of Examinations to investigate and submit a report on the death of a 21-year-old student of BTech Electrical and Electronics programme at the varsity’s School of Engineering here.
D. Dhanush, a native of Kumarapuram, Alappuzha, was found dead in his rented house at Kalamassery on Wednesday (April 22, 2026) evening. His family members were intimated about the incident, and they had turned up by Wednesday evening.
Varsity officials said the Registrar and Controller of Examinations would collect the statements of his teachers and friends as part of the inquiry. They are likely to submit the report by April 25.
