The competent authority (under KPID Act) has asked depositors affected by alleged financial irregularities in the Belagavi-based Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna Urban Co-operative Society to submit relevant documents in person at its office in Bengaluru.
This follows an order by the High Court of Karnataka dated November 4, 2025.
Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna Urban Co-operative Society was promoted by Anand Appugol. Depositors claims that Anand Appugol owes them around ₹300 crore.
As per the notice, depositors must submit 10 types of documents to process their refund claims.
The depositors have been told to provide bank statements (2012 to March 31, 2018), Aadhaar and PAN cards, investment agreements, and passbook copies,
Bank-certified transaction details, income tax returns, prroof of relationship (if applicable), and authorisation letter (if someone else is applying on their behalf).
For deceased depositors, the documents are Death Certificate, Legal Heir certificates, and other supporting documents.
