Collector G. Ravikumar on Thursday reviewed the functioning of various drinking water schemes in the district.

Sub Collector Swathi, Project Director, District Rural Development Agency, V.R. Veerapathiran, Karur Corporation Commissioner K.M. Sudha and senior officials of Tamil Nadu Water and Drainage Board participated.

Mr. Ravikumar enquired with the officials on the quantum of water supplied in Karur, Kulithalai, Thogamalai, Aravakurichi, and other areas. He checked whether there were issues in the functioning of combined water supply schemes. He checked with the officials on steps taken to ensure uninterrupted drinking water to the residents.

The Collector said he had given instructions to the officials to check the functioning of all schemes. If there were issues, they should be solved immediately.
