Thoothukudi District Collector and District Election Officer Vishu Mahajan chaired a meeting with representatives of recognised political parties on Friday.

During the meeting, various aspects of the election process were discussed,including the Model Code of Conduct (MCC), regulations on advertisements, banners and flexboards, transportation of cash and goods in vehicles, EVM/VVPAT allocation and preparation, postal voting procedures, rules for polling agents,compliance on after polling day, details of the voter final electoral roll.

Following this, election observers appointed by Election Commission of India (ECI) for Thoothukudi district sought the views and feedbacks of the political party representatives
