The MEMU service between Palakkad and Ernakulam has been upgraded from an eight-car rake to a 12-car rake, providing a more comfortable travel experience for daily commuters and other passengers, the Southern Railway has informed.
Thus, Train No. 66609 Palakkad–Ernakulam Junction MEMU and Train No. 66610 Ernakulam Junction–Palakkad MEMU began operating with a 12-car rake from May 24, it said.
