Deputy Floor Leader of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) in the Assembly T. Harish Rao has criticised the State government for imposing a ban on the sale of urea to farmers and termed it an anti-farmer measure.

In a statement, Mr. Rao said on Tuesday that the ban imposed across the State was uncalled for and there were no such instances in the past. He said oral orders issued by the Agriculture Department (Minister) not to sell urea to farmers was a clear indication of the government’s anti-farmer policies.
