Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu participated in the swearing-in ceremony of Suvendu Adhikari as Chief Minister of West Bengal in Kolkata on Saturday.
On the occasion, Mr. Naidu congratulated Mr. Adhikari and members of his Council of Ministers as they assumed office.
In a social media post, Mr. Naidu said he was extending his best wishes to the new government as it began its tenure with the blessings and trust of the people, inspired by the leadership of Prime Narendra Modi and his dream of Viksit Bharat.
In his message on X, Jana Sena Party president and Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan congratulated Mr. Adhikari on taking oath as Chief Miniter of West Bengal and the BJP leadership and cadres who stood firm through years of struggle to achieve the historic victory. He wished the new government success in delivering transparent and people-centric governance.
Also, he observed that the BJP’s triumph in West Bengal was a victory for the people of Bharat. For years, West Bengal witnessed growing concern over violence, lawlessness, illegal immigration, and extremist infiltration, which posed serious challenges to social harmony and national security.
At such a crucial time, this mandate assumed great significance in strengthening national security and addressing these challenges with strong governance. This mandate also reflected the trust people placed in the leadership of Mr. Modi and the BJP’s top brass, he noted.
