The anti-narcotics squad on Monday (May 18) arrested two persons with 71.17 grams of suspected MDMA during a vehicle check at Kunnamangalam in Kozhikode district.
The suspects were identified as Mohammed Aboobacker, 33, of Kuttikkatoor and U.M. Jaffer Sadik, of Chelannur. A car reportedly used for the smuggling of synthetic drugs was also impounded. According to police sources, Jaffer was involved in a series of previously registered narcotics cases in Kozhikode district.
