Khan Sir got my brother murdered: Rival tutor Raushan Anand after bail from court in vandalism case
PTI · 2026-06-15 · via The Hindu: Latest News today from India and the World, Breaking news, Top Headlines and Trending News Videos.

Celebrated Patna-based tutor and social media influencer Faisal Khan, better known as Khan Sir, was on Monday (June 15, 2026) accused by his rival Raushan Anand of having orchestrated the “murder” of his brother Prince Yadav, who has died under mysterious circumstances in Nepal.

Mr. Anand made the sensational claim soon after being released on bail in connection with the vandalism that took place at one of the coaching centres run by Mr. Khan earlier this month.

“Patna police arrested me on the basis of a false complaint by Khan. While I was in jail, he got my brother murdered. I seek justice for Prince,” Mr. Anand told reporters.

The Bihar police was tight-lipped over the death of Prince in Nepal’s Biratnagar, about which conflicting reports have appeared in the media.

Some of these reports claimed that Yadav had “escaped” to Nepal, fearing his own arrest in connection with the attack on Mr. Khan’s premises, and was found dead at a Biratnagar hotel.

Some other reports suggested that Yadav was wounded in retaliatory fire by Mr. Khan’s bodyguards in Patna on June 3, and he succumbed to injuries at a hospital in Biratnagar, more than 300 kms away, where close aides had rushed him fearing further retribution from his brother’s rival.

Mr. Khan, who could not be traced since an FIR was lodged against him upon the statement of one of his injured bodyguards that they had opened fire under pressure from their influential boss, came out with a video message debunking the allegations.

“I am saddened by the news of the death of Prince Yadav. I offer my condolences to his brother Raushan Anand, though he is levelling false charges against me,” said Mr. Khan.

Nonetheless, Mr. Anand insisted that Mr. Khan be made to undergo a “narco test”, which would ascertain culpability.

Raushan Anand granted bail

The muckracking between the two fierce rivals continued even as the court, which granted bail to Mr. Anand, urged them to have “healthy competition”.

Senior advocate Ramakant Sharma, who was leading the team of lawyers for Mr. Anand, told PTI video, that the additional chief judicial magistrate granted bail to his client, “accepting our contention that he was not present at the site of the incident”.

“The court also noted that both parties happen to be teachers and must behave in a manner that is appropriate. Their conduct must not be such as that of criminals,” Mr. Sharma said.

Khan Sir coaching centre firing case

Khan Global Coaching Institute was allegedly vandalised and pelted with stones in the Bihar capital earlier this month, with Mr. Khan initially claiming that firing took place at the institution, but police could not confirm it.

However, he later said that an investigation would find out what exactly happened.

Three people, including Raushan Anand, the director of a rival coaching centre, had been arrested in connection with the incident.

Informing reporters about Mr. Anand securing bail on Monday (June 15), his advocate Niranjan Kumar Singh alleged that the charges against his client were "cooked up and politically motivated".

"Section 109 of the BNS (attempt to murder) was wrongfully applied because the case lacked the legally required elements of intention, knowledge and presence of the accused at the crime scene," the lawyer said.

He alleged that Faisal Khan used his "political influence" to ruin Raushan Anand's status.

"Despite the lack of evidence, Roshan Anand was sent to jail based on a conspiracy and a false statement by Khan sir claiming eight to 10 rounds of gunfire were heard," Mr. Singh added.

He claimed that despite serious charges under non-bailable sections of the Arms Act in the counter-FIR against Khan Sir, they obtained interim relief by "suppressing material facts and altering statements".

Opposition questions Nitish government

BJP MP Manoj Tiwari, who hails from Bihar and was in the State capital, said, “We used to hear terms like coaching mafia. Now it is on full display. Let law take its own course.” JD(U) leader and minister Sunil Kumar, who held the education portfolio in the previous Nitish Kumar government, told reporters that the police were investigating the entire matter, including the death of Prince Yadav, and all the guilty persons will be brought to book.

In a post on Facebook, Leader of Opposition in the Bihar Assembly Tejashwi Yadav said, “A high-level probe covering all aspects must be conducted into the suspicious death/murder of the brother of the proprietor of Bihar’s renowned ‘Gyan Bindu’ coaching institute, and strict action should be taken against the guilty.” “The post-mortem report must be made available as soon as possible to clarify the actual cause of death and enable the police to advance the criminal investigation in a timely manner.

“Recent controversies within the coaching sector are detrimental to the education landscape as a whole. The role of the Bihar government and the police in this entire episode is questionable,” he said.
