The Telangana High Court on Friday issued notices to seven persons, including four top officials, in a contempt of court case connected to seizure of a two-wheeler by the traffic police for non-payment of pending traffic challans.
Justice N.V. Shravan Kumar of the HC ordered the notices after hearing contentions presented by advocate Vijay Gopal. The contempt case was filed by a private employee seeking action against the officials for not complying with the direction of the HC issued earlier on January 20 not to take coercive steps against a vehicle owner if any traffic challans were pending against the latter.
