A State-level monitoring committee chaired by the Women and Child Development Principal Secretary has been constituted ahead of the meetings of the BRICS Women Working Group and BRICS Women Ministers to be held in Kochi in July.

BRICS is a 10-nation bloc currently chaired by India. The BRICS Women Working Group and BRICS Women Ministers meetings, being held as part of the BRICS Summit 2026, will be held from July 6 to 9 by the Ministry of External Affairs and the Union Ministry of Women and Child Development in collaboration with the Kerala government.
