A woman grazing cows in Sathyagala village in Periyapatna taluk near here died after she was struck by lightning on Saturday evening.
The deceased, identified as Vinoda, wife of Chitrashekara, was struck by lightning while she was grazing cows in the field. She was admitted to a hospital, where she passed away.
Two cows grazing the land belonging to Vinoda’s father-in-law Chandrappachar had also died due to lightning, according to sources here.
