Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Sunday said the State’s improved performance in the school education sector reflects the government’s sustained efforts over the past two years.
Referring to the latest Performance Grading Index (PGI), evidence-based assessment tool developed by the Ministry of Education to evaluate the performance of the school education system, released by the Union Ministry of Education, he said the report validates the reforms introduced by the State government.
Mr. Reddy posted on his X account, and said he had personally taken charge of the Education department and overseen initiatives such as the proposed Telangana Model Schools, teacher recruitment, expansion of digital learning, free electricity for government schools, infrastructure development and measures to reduce dropout rates.
He stated that the government is committed to rebuilding and strengthening the education system and aims to make Telangana a national leader in education, and according to him, the proposed Young India Integrated Schools will play a key role in achieving that objective. The PGI results are an encouragement to pursue further reforms, he said.
