The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heatwave warning for 11 Telangana districts for Friday (May 22, 2026).

According to the IMDs latest bulletin, heatwave conditions are very likely to prevail at isolated places in Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jayshankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet and Nagarkunrool districts.
Additionally, thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and gusty winds are very likely to occur at isolated places in Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy and Mahabubnagar districts.

Hyderabad and its surrounding area for the next 24 hours will see a partly cloudy sky. “Hazy conditions are very likely to prevail during morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 41℃ and 30℃ respectively,” the bulletin said.
