Congress MLCs Balmoor Venkat and Addanki Dayakar refuted former Minister T. Harish Rao’s allegations of corruption in Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) road projects, revealing that the tenders were yet to be finalised, and accused him of intimidating contractors. Both leaders challenged Mr. Harish Rao and other senior BRS leaders to come forward with evidence and face a public discussion on the allegations.

Addressing the media at the CLP Media Centre, Mr. Venkat said the tender process for roads under the HAM was continuing in accordance with the rules. He alleged that during the previous government’s decade-long rule, contractors were reluctant to participate in tenders due to non-payment of bills and alleged corruption.
