The Neyveli Lignite Corporation India Limited (NLCIL) has registered the highest yet production volumes of coal, Profit After Tax (PAT) of ₹3,769 crore and Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Authorization (EBIDTA) amounting to ₹7,475 crore.
Announcing the financial results and performance highlights of the final quarter and end of the fiscal, the NLCIL said the company posted its highest Profit Tax (PAT) of ₹3,769 crore even as revenue from operations aggregated to ₹17,490 crore, a 14.44% increase over the ₹15,283 crore netted in the previous year. The group net income totalled to ₹21, 525 crore against ₹18,723 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year, registering a growth of 14.96%.
NLCIL said it also achieved the highest renewable energy power generation of 2.26 billion Units. The gross power generation aggregated to 28.95 billion Units.
Among the other key achievements were the capacity additions to the tune of 1,013 MW including Thermal 660 MW and renewable 303 MW and commencement of coal production at Pachwara South Coal Mines in March 2026.
Also among the high points was the Letter of Award (LoA) from Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for development of 600 MW solar capacity coupled with 300 MW/1800 Mwh Energy Storage System (ESS) through Tariff Based Competitive Bidding, receipt of Composite License from Chattisgarh Government for phosphorite and limestone blocks to carry out detailed geological exploration in the blocks.
