Leaders of the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) including Vellampalli Srinivasa Rao, Devineni Avinash along with others staged a unique protest in Vijayawada on Monday. They pulled an autorickshaw in protest against the hike in petrol and diesel prices.
In Krishna district, YSRCP leader Devabhaktuni Chakravarthy organised a padayatra at Tadigadapa criticising the hike in fuel prices. The YSRCP leaders alleged that the BJP - led NDA government increased the fuel prices due to their inability to grapple with the fallout of the West Asia war. They demanded that the hike be rolled back immediately.
