The battery recharge facilities installed by Southern Railway at several railway stations in the city have become a hit among electric vehicle (EV) users.

Over the past few months, commuters who own EVs have started using the battery recharge and swapping facilities set up at stations, including the Velachery, Thirumayilai, Mundagakanniamman Koil, Chintadripet, and Perungudi Mass Rapid Transit System (MRTS) stations. The charging facilities, in particular, are busy during day time.
