Former Minister R. Rajendran participated in a protest conducted by the Dravidar Kazhagam (DK) against the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) here on Saturday (May 16, 2026).
In the protest held at Fort Maidan in Salem Corporation, more than 500 Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and DK cadres participated and raised slogans against NEET.
Speaking at the protest, Mr. Rajendran said that the NEET question paper has been leaked multiple times, causing cancellation of the exams. The CBI also claimed alleged corruption in the exam. He said that many students have lost their lives due to this exam across the country. “This exam is against social justice. Therefore, it should be scrapped. Already DMK president M.K. Stalin termed the NEET a scam. Everyone should join hands to eradicate NEET,” Mr. Rajendran added.
