Mysuru Division of South Western Railway hosted the inter-department drama competition here.
A press statement here on Friday said the drama competition was conducted with the objective of promoting cultural activities and encouraging employees to explore and exhibit their talents beyond their professional responsibilities.
The competition reflected Mysuru Railway Division’s commitment towards the holistic development and well-being of its workforce while showcasing the creativity, artistic talent, and vibrant cultural spirit of railway employees.
Addressing the gathering, Mudit Mittal, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Mysuru Division, emphasised the importance of cultural initiatives in enhancing creativity, teamwork, and personal growth among employees. He appreciated the enthusiasm and dedication displayed by all participating teams and highlighted that such platforms help employees nurture their interests beyond the workplace.
A total of five teams from various departments participated in the competition and delivered impressive performances filled with passion and creativity, the statement said.
After an evaluation of the performances by the judges, the Commercial Branch secured the Overall Best Team award and also won the Best Drama award, while the Engineering Department emerged as the runner-up.
The event was further enriched by the presence of distinguished theatre personalities viz. Mr. Ramaswamy and Mr. Nagendrakumar, who were invited as judges for the competition. Their valuable guidance, expertise, and encouragement greatly enhanced the experience for the participants.
The prize distribution ceremony was graced by Mudit Mittal, along with Additional DRM Shammas Hameed, senior officer of the Division, and the judges.
