Rahul Sharanappa Sankanur on Thursday assumed charge as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Kalaburagi Zilla Panchayat (ZP).
Mr. Sankanur, a 2019 batch Karnataka cadre IAS officer, has been posted to the position following the transfer of the former CEO Bhanwar Singh Meena, who served in the post for the last two years, as Deputy Commissioner of Chikkamagaluru district.
Prior to this posting, Mr. Sankanur was serving as Director in the Department of Information Technology and Biotechnology (IT-BT).
A native of Karnataka, Mr. Sankanur holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering.
He has served as Assistant Commissioner of Lingsugur in Raichur district and also as CEO of the Ballari Zilla Panchayat.
