Taking serious note of reports highlighting rampant drug abuse among minors, the Karnataka Lokayukta has registered a suo motu case against 13 government officials for their alleged negligence and failure to curb the illegal drug activities in Ganjam village of Srirangapatna taluk in Mandya.
Officials from the police, revenue, health, education, and women and child development departments in Srirangapanta have been booked in the case as per the directions of Upalokayukta B. Veerappa.
