For the first time, when the temple hundial of the famous Sri Dhandayuthanpani Swamy Temple here was opened, the officials from the HR&CE department said that the offerings from the devotees had crossed the ₹60-crore mark for the year 2025-26 on Wednesday.

The temple, which is famous for its festivals throughout the year, draws huge devotees from different parts of the State and from overseas. The Tamils, from countries like Singapore, Kaula Lumpur and Sri Lanka and other nations, take ‘kaavadis’ as a part of the vow.

The offerings, which are dropped in the ‘hundials’, are opened at periodic intervals in the presence of multiple stakeholders, including social activists and students from the educational institutions run by the Dewaswom Board.

The officials said that a total of ₹60,21,54,812 was counted during the fasli 1435 from the hundial against the previous offerings which stood at ₹58,28,51,525 during the previous fasli of 1434.
