A total of 2,080 candidates took the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2026 exam held here on Sunday at six centres in Ramanathapuram district.
The exam which is conducted annually to secure admission to Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) courses is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
In Ramanathapuram district yesterday, a total of 2,185 students were permitted to take the NEET exam at 6 centers: 360 students at Ramanathapuram Sethupathy Government Arts and Science College, 360 at Ramanathapuram Government Women’s Arts and Science College, 720 at Paramakudi Government Arts and Science College, 193 at Paramakudi Government Women’s College, 312 at Mudukulathur Government Arts College, and 240 at the Kendriya Vidyalaya School in Mandapam.
