District Collector C. Dinesh Kumar has warned of criminal action against those participating, organising and planning child marriage, including the child’s parents.
The child marriage of a 17-year-old girl, which was to be organised in Jeganathapuram village in Kangoji Kothur, was stopped after the police intervened, responding to a distress call on the Childline 1098.
