Three persons were arrested in two separate anti-narcotics operations in Hyderabad and its outskirts, with authorities seizing over 5 kilograms of ganja along with cash and mobile phones.
In the first case, the State Task Force-C team arrested Ranu Hossain and Hasiful Mia, both labourers residing in Gopanpally Thanda of Serilingampally and originally from West Bengal, and seized 3.7 kilograms of dry ganja from their possession.
Police also seized two mobile phones from the accused. The arrested persons, along with the contraband and other material, were handed over to the Serilingampally police station for further investigation.
In a separate operation in Dhoolpet, the Hyderabad Enforcement-A team conducted a raid near the Jali Hanuman Temple following a tip-off about ganja sales. During the raid at a house in Dhoolpet, officials seized 1.630 kilograms of ganja and cash amounting to ₹21,850.
One person, identified as Arvind Singh, was arrested in connection with the case. Officials said another individual named Manish was also booked.
The accused, along with the seized ganja and cash, were handed over to the Dhoolpet Excise Station for further action.
