Deputy Commissioner G. Lakshmikanth Reddy has directed officials to intensify surveillance of drinking water quality, cautioning that any lapse could lead to the spread of water-borne diseases.
Presiding over the District Health and Family Welfare Mission meeting at the zilla panchayat here on Tuesday (April 28), the Deputy Commissioner said that if water samples fail quality tests, immediate corrective measures must be taken, followed by retesting at the same location to ensure safe supply.
