Minister for Revenue, Stamps and Registration, Anagani Satya Prasad, flayed the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leaders for constantly provoking the ruling NDA alliance party leaders with alleged warnings and threats, thereby attempting to distract them from their development agenda.

After participating in a series of programmes in Tirupati on Wednesday, Mr. Prasad spoke to the media, expressing his displeasure over the alleged intimidating threats made by some YSRCP leaders in the form of revenge, anticipating their return to power in forthcoming 2029 elections.

Replying to the alleged threats, Mr. Satya Prasad said, “Not just 2029, the axe party will not come to power even by 2049, given their anti-people and anti-development agenda. We will not be cowed down by such hollow rhetoric.” He also said that the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) workers and leaders were bound by the line of discipline drawn by the party president and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.

“Do not forget that we still have three more years to rule. Your provocative actions will be met with suitable reaction if we don’t observe restraint,” the Minister warned.

Taking exception to the malicious campaign in the form of alleged rumours, concocted stories and false narratives spread by the YSRCP’s social media wings, Mr. Satya Prasad said that such tactics were aimed at distracting the government from its focus on development. He also hinted at the possibility of initiating legal action against the social media channels.
